CareerBuilder, Gannett, ShareThis and Wayfair Select ClearSlide To Power Their Sales Teams

Company accelerates hiring, opens new headquarters and appoints CFO

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - May 21, 2012

ClearSlide today announced that CareerBuilder, Gannett Co. Inc., ShareThis and Wayfair have all chosen ClearSlide as the communications platform to power their sales teams and drive higher performance, productivity and efficiency. ClearSlide, the leading cloud-based communications platform designed specifically for enterprise sales teams, also announced it has achieved over 400 percent year-over-year revenue growth since 2010. The rapid climb in revenue results from the company's continued success in establishing the ClearSlide platform as a key competitive advantage for today's modern sales organizations.

"Our salespeople are better because of ClearSlide. They are more effective in helping our customers and are closing business in record time," said Brent Rasmussen, President North America, CareerBuilder. "After years of simply 'getting by' using a hodgepodge of sales communications tools that only addressed some of our needs, we finally have a solution that is all encompassing and allows us to pitch and close deals in a fraction of the time it took before."

ClearSlide has fast become the sales platform of choice across a range of industries, including media, online retail, recruiting, technology, and business services. Among the hundreds of new customers ClearSlide added in 2012 are CareerBuilder, the global leader in human capital solutions; Gannett, a media company with a large network of broadcast, digital, mobile and publishing properties; ShareThis, a leading Web platform for social media and content sharing; and Wayfair, the largest online-only retailer for home goods. They join ClearSlide's customer roster of industry leaders including Rackspace, Expedia and Dow Jones.

"ClearSlide was initially introduced to us by one salesperson, but within three months, our entire media sales team was on the platform," said Andrew Garcia, Local Media Manager for Wayfair. "If you look at sales activities from the past six months, ClearSlide has been involved in more than half of our successful deals."

Sales teams are increasingly adopting ClearSlide because the platform allows for an easier, more intuitive way to interact with customers and deliver rich customer experiences. Large enterprise sales teams can stay on message and share best practices, even across distant remote offices. Sales people gain peace of mind by being able to reliably share collateral, enabling them to focus on selling. And with ClearSlide analytics, sales and marketing organizations can see what is driving sales to better align sales and marketing resources.

ClearSlide recently opened its new headquarters on the 37th floor of 525 Market Street, in the heart of San Francisco's financial district, and will soon be opening offices in New York. ClearSlide's staff has grown 4x in the past year. The company is quickly expanding its team and is currently recruiting for over 50 open positions. Key recent hires include Mark Lambert, CFO, who formerly held CFO positions at Blurb and Connexus Corporation, and Drew Daniels, Senior Director of Security and Compliance, formerly Director of Network & Security at Microsoft.

ClearSlide was recently selected as a Finalist for Red Herring's Top 100 Americas award, a prestigious list honoring the year's most promising private technology ventures from the North American business region. ClearSlide Secures $11 Million from Greylock and Felicis to Expand Sales Communications Platform

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Sept. 28, 2011

ClearSlide, provider of the leading cloud-based sales communications platform enabling sales professionals to close more business, today announced that it has received $11 million in Series A round funding from Silicon Valley investors led by Greylock Partners. Existing investor Felicis Ventures also participated in the round.

Since beginning operations two-and-a-half years ago under the leadership of successful Internet entrepreneur and Evite co-founder Al Lieb, CEO, and seasoned sales executive Jim Benton, COO, the company has grown to become a competitive advantage for top sales performers at powerhouse brands including Expedia, Rackspace and Dow Jones.

"ClearSlide has built something really special: a platform specifically for sales people that makes it extremely easy to communicate with customers," said John Lilly, partner at Greylock Partners. "They replace the awful, cumbersome tools - with something that's radically simpler - and they've built an incredibly rapidly growing customer base."

Time and productivity are of the essence in sales, particularly in competitive markets. Customer relationship management systems cover back office processes for sales, marketing and service. However, when it comes to client-facing communications, such as connecting over the phone, sending proposals or meeting in person, sales people have had to painstakingly assemble a hodgepodge of generic and often unpredictable tools, including email, file upload sites, web conferencing and streaming video.

In contrast, ClearSlide provides a centralized, easy-to-use and reliable cloud-based platform that is fast becoming the standard communication platform sales teams rely on daily. It cuts through the usual delays and clutter, delivers valuable analytics, and helps sales teams become dynamic contributors to business growth. Through a personalized or company-branded URL, the sales professional and customer connect in one click. A company's full breadth of collateral, including all files and videos, are seamlessly and immediately accessible. It's a compelling first impression of speed, efficiency and sales smarts.

"At Rackspace, we are in the business of providing Fanatical Support to our customers," said Scott White, vice president of sales, Rackspace Hosting. "And we can rely on ClearSlide to help us quickly communicate our value to customers and make every second count. I've heard over and over again from our sales team Rackers how indispensable ClearSlide has become for them."

"We focus on providing sales organizations with the gold standard in sales communications," said Lieb. "We've connected with thousands of sales teams and we listen very closely to their daily challenges. ClearSlide's growth is rocketing because we deliver services that precisely solve our customers' needs and directly increase their revenues."

ClearSlide is continuously extending its product line, and plans to introduce additional advanced analytics and field sales products in the Fall.

"ClearSlide's ability to use improved communications to drive action and revenue sets them apart. This was one of the fastest investment decisions I've ever made," said Aydin Senkut, founder and managing director at Felicis Ventures.
