The Latest Product Updates & Thought Leadership
ClearSlide is committed to continuously improving our Sales Engagement Platform. Every week, we add new features and updates to help our customers around the world deliver amazing sales experiences. Here are some of the latest improvements and what they mean for you.
Template Tags
Tags have always been at the core of how content is organized in ClearSlide. Now, we’ve extended tagging functionality from the content library to email templates — enabling reps to quickly and easily find relevant email templates. Tags can be tailored based on sales stage, role, industry, or any other category you choose. To add tags to email templates, simply go to an email template you own and type in the tag you’d like to add. Once you’ve added tags to templates, users can filter email templates by tag to surface the most relevant templates.

Email & Link Engagement Data
To date, ClearSlide Insights and Activity Cards included total view time when reporting view time for emails and links. We’ve updated the view time metric to exclude time viewers are distracted. The updated view time metric will give you more sophisticated insight into buyer interest and engagement.
HD Slides
A new rendering engine for content makes text & images on PowerPoint slides appear razor sharp in ClearSlide. Any new PowerPoint slides you upload to your content library will be automatically rendered in HD. To improve the quality of existing slides in ClearSlide, simply reupload them to take advantage of this new feature.
Improvements to Recommended Content
With our latest the Polaris Release, we enabled content owners to surface content in context within Salesforce by creating recommendation rules that map to account, opportunity, lead, and contact objects. Our latest updates improve upon this functionality in three ways:
1. Apply Existing Rules to Recommend Content Faster
You can now applying existing rules to ClearSlide content, enabling content owners to recommend content more quickly. Once you’ve created a recommendation rule in ClearSlide (such as “when Account Industry is Electronics), select another piece of content, click ‘apply existing rule,’ and select the rule — without reentering each field individually.
2. Name Recommendation Rules to Improve Legibility
Rules map to Salesforce objects — but that means they don’t always reflect how reps talk. Now, content owners can now name rules so that they’re easier for reps to understand. For example, if you create the rule “when Opportunity Stage is Discovery,” the rule can be named “Break-in materials” — making it even easier to use the perfect content in context.
3. Easily See Recommendation Rules for Content in Salesforce
Once you’ve applied recommendation rules to content, it’s easy for reps to see what rules are being applied in Salesforce so they can choose the best content to send to a certain prospect or customer. When ClearSlide content is surfaced within a Salesforce object (account, lead, opportunity, or contact), hovering over the recommendation icon will reveal what rules make the content relevant to that object — including matching industry, role, sales stage, or a custom field you’ve specified.
Rich Content Auto-Conversion
Rich content such as presentations with animations, embedded videos, and hyperlinks will now automatically convert when uploaded. This makes it easier than ever to ensure customers and prospects are experiencing the content the way you intended and maximizing impact. This feature is on by default — so all you need to do to get started is upload content.
